Chevin Golf Club
Dear Chevin Golf Club,
May I pass on the sincere thanks of all who took part for such a superb day of golf, Your greens are quite simply stunning. All the players agreed
that despite all of the rain Chevin Golf Course was in very good conditions, they exceeded expectations and we congratulate you and your staff on their presentation. The friendly welcome we received from all staff on arrival and the excellent catering after the match, all went towards making it a memorable day in a super setting. Thank you very much and please pass on my sincere thanks to the green staff and the catering staff.

Thank you for a wonderful day yesterday. From our arrival to our departure every aspect was first class. All of our members were equally impressed both with the course & the hospitality of the staff & members.
We look forward to next year for our second outing of the Brian Orviss Memorial Trophy, but we will be returning before then to atone our skills (loosely put) & ready the packers we are bringing in from the Himalayas!

On 29 May 2012 myself, the President of the English Police Golf Association and an Association sponsor had the pleasure of playing at Chevin Golf Club. The welcome we received from club officials was excellent. The perfectly manicured putting areas and flower beds upon approach to the clubhouse were a prelude to a round on the most picturesque of courses. The course makes a steady climb up to the delightful par 3 11th before returning downhill to the traditional clubhouse and another delightful welcome from bar and catering staff alike. Whilst not long, the course presents a real challenge with good shot placement and a red hot putter high on the list of golfing needs, not least on the aptly named 8th (tribulation). An excellent day enjoyed by all. You should, rightly, be proud of this little gem of a course.

Everyone who played golf on Sunday at the Chevin Golf Club had a most enjoyable day and were quick to let me know!!
We were very well looked after by all the staff, the golf course is in excellent condition and I noted the change to the 17th hole which is a big improvement.
Favourable comments were made regarding the food which was excellent, as was the service. The 2 for 1 vouchers were unexpected, but much appreciated!! Some of the guys that played on Sunday are already planning the next visit to the Chevin with the 2 for 1 voucher, may even return later this year as a society, if not definitely next year! Even the weather was good on the day!
Thanks again.

“Massive thank you to all the team at Chevin Golf Club for hosting the Derbyshire PGA/ County Golf Partnership coach development day on March 5th. It was a really informative day led by 2 expert coaches. Dr. Paul Hurrion looked at the technical aspects of the putting stroke. Paul is current putting coach to Padraig Harrington, Robert Rock and Rory McIlroy. Our other expert Jamie Donaldson is the European Senior Instructor for Aimpoint green reading technology. An innovative system for how to read greens that is taking all tours by storm, used by your own Mel Reid and notable major winners. The putting green was in great condition and both experts commented on the great facilities and the warm welcome at Chevin. Thank you to all involved. ”

"Thank you so much to all of you at Chevin Golf Club for your fabulously warm and efficient reception yesterday. We all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves but we were sorry that we couldn't have bought you a drink at the end of the day. The breakfast was delicious and would you pass on our gratitude to Michelle and her team in the kitchen. She was brilliant and courteous. The deal you gave us was excellent...
We would all like to compliment your Greens Staff on the excellent state of the course especially at this stage of the winter season. Having toiled up Tribulation into the cloud base we did have a job to find the Oxygen station. However a few puffs later and trading some insults with the other groups we all recovered for a gentle waltz downhill on the second nine holes.
The whole day was immense fun and our sincere gratitude to you all. Very best wishes and regards"
