The sun shone on the Chevin Sunday morning as the ladies arrived for their free taster session, following the downpour and thunder storm that occurred at 7am that morning, we were very relieved!
12 ladies, most of whom had never held a golf club before; were led by Chevin's Professional Willie Bird, in the fine art of gripping a club and swinging through the ball. After a few initial misses, they were soon all hitting the ball. All equipment was loaned to the ladies, Willie was even able to provide left handed clubs for those who required them.
Following a cup a tea and a slice (or two) of fabulous cake, the ladies said how they had enjoyed the morning. Most have now booked a further lesson with Willie and we look forward to welcoming all the ladies as new members.
