Following an extremely successful Charity golf day held on Friday 22nd May 2015 at Chevin Golf Club I am very pleased to be able to advise you that a final amount of £2,400 was raised which will enable us to present cheques to the value of £1,200 to Rainbows Hospice and £1,200 to Derbyshire Children’s Holiday Centre at the official presentation to be held at The Lion, Belper on Monday 22nd June.
We had a wonderful day with a field of 26 teams who all enjoyed the delights of the halfway house, the carnival atmosphere and the very good weather, not forgetting the army of about 25 volunteers. I would also like to express our grateful thanks to all the staff at Chevin Golf Club.
Our grateful thanks to all those concerned in anyway no matter how small which means we can now pass on the above amounts to our chosen charities which will make a difference to the lives of so many.
